Dr. Praveena Velupula grew up and attended schools in India, Brunei, and England. She graduated with her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Wales Dental School in Cardiff, England, in 1998. After working as an associate for seven years, she completed two years of a Periodontal Residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She became certified to practice general dentistry in the State of Washington in 2007 and started her first associate position in Olympia the same year.

Dr. Velupula settled in Olympia in 2011 with her husband Dinesh and their two beautiful children, Ila and Dylan. They are a close-knit family that also includes their six-year-old golden doodle, Wall-e. They love spending time in nature and feel very grateful to be raising their family in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Dr. Velupula enjoys getting to know her patients and is passionate about improving their quality of life and health through a holistic approach to dental care. She incorporates technology and her extensive experience into her practice, always striving for balance and wellness. Dr. Velupula and her family also volunteer to prepare and serve meals to the homeless at the Salvation Army Community Kitchen in downtown.

Dr. Velupula’s philosophy is centered on compassion and personal connection. She loves the family practice vibe and is excited to serve the needs of Dr. Lemon’s dental community as she embarks on this new chapter in her career.

Additionally, Dr. Lemon will be dedicating more time to our Aberdeen location and will now be working full-time there. However, Dr. Lemon will still provide support to our Olympia location as the Clinical Director to ensure seamless continuity of care for all our patients.
